Give Your Feedback: Five Points and Garnett MARTA Stations are getting a Makeover

MARTA Five Points Transit Station sign

MARTA’s Five Points and Garnett rail stations are getting a makeover, and residents, businesses, and workers are being asked to provide their input about what each station needs. An intercept survey was administered at the Five Points and Garnett station areas in late October. Both MARTA users and non-users are invited to provide their feedback through the online survey, which is available until November 21, 2014.

Additionally, station users are encouraged to use #MARTAmakeover on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to tag station-specific pictures to help identify items to be addressed within the project plans.

Community feedback from the surveys will help inform the Downtown South Transit Station Area Enhancements Plan or Downtown South MARTA Stations Makeover, which will identify and illustrate both immediate and long term projects to transform the appearance and experience of the two MARTA stations.

Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) received a Livable Communities Initiative (LCI) grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) to research, evaluate, design, document and execute creative placemaking and ‘tactical urbanism’ enhancements for the South Central Business District’s MARTA rail stations – Five Points Station and Garnett Station.
